Overall, it can save a few flask usages by ticking away as you explore an area healing up any chip damage you might have taken from random "Surprise!" enemies that are rather popular in this game (Especially hiding imps everywhere in catacombs). It's available as soon as you get Torrent, since you can just run past the Giant and loot the chest and then run back to the site of grace. And most players aim for 40-60 vigor at which other Talismans are a lot better. you do not feel the impact of this Talisman when you hit get close to 40 vigor. For bossfights, you switch this Talisman out for a better one that doesn't work well in the overworld. Awesome for beginners who have estus issues as well. If you rarely get hit and/or want to use way more spells while doing overworld content. It also means longer excursions without resting which keeps the flow better if you are getting (too) good at the game. A secondary use is PvE in the overworld, and topping off estus heals that didn't top you off, but almost. A immediate buff it gives: if you pair it with Bestial vitality or the Mix effect, you pretty much cancel out the normal poison effect and really dampen Rot damage over time. Yet I find myself using it time after time again. A lot of people had a lot of good arguments on why NOT to use this Talisman.

Here’s a full list of all of the new challenges featured in Week 5: The challenge will give players a small amount of XP for completing it.
After you’ve claimed at least three of the pages, make your way to the Seasonal Challenges page under the Quest Tab, and select Week 5 and then Graven Scrawl Challenge. All you need to do is claim at least three of these pages to complete the challenge.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to find the pages of the Captain’s Log in the Lore tab of the Triumphs page.
